SPEEDWAY 95 NEWS RELEASE

August 2nd, 2008

By Bill DaButler

(Hermon, Me) Kris Watson of Hermon, picked up the win, but it was
Sullivan's Richard Burrill who took the championship in the third and
final 50-lap race of the CAM II Racing Fuels Super Street Series.
Watson held the front of the field to take the win despite a caution
at lap 22, when Travis Beale blew his engine, but Burrill secured the
points championship for the series after a lapped car opened up the
door for him to pass Mike Overlock of Franklin, and finish the race in
the second spot.

Lapped traffic, and three-wide racing gummed up the top three in the
Pro-Limited race, when at lap 17, Bill Cameron of Shirley who had been
battling an ill went down a lap and split the side –by-side race
between Steuben's Brenton Parritt, and Duane Seekins of Stockton
Springs. Seekins spun out, and Parritt crashed, and was forced to
return to the pit. In the closing laps, Seekins made his way back
towards the front to finish second behind Rowland Robinson, Jr. of
Steuben, and just ahead of Dale Swoboda of Hermon, who finished in the
third spots.

Rookie Wayne Parritt, Jr. of Steuben made it three in a row, picking
up the win in Strictly Street race with nearly a half-track lead over
Ellsworth's Brad Norris. Rookie Travis Poulon started to close in on
Norris, but ran out of laps and had to settle for third, in the
caution-free race.

Jason Tundy of Old Town dominated the Sport-Four feature, leading
every lap and holding onto take the win despite a
green-white-checkered finish. Steven Heath of Brownville was second in
line at the checkered flag, and defending champion Lewis Batchelder of
Dixmont took third.

Jordan Pearson of Glenburn returned to the truck field to pick up the
win in the Full Sized Pick Up Truck race. Pole sitter Andrew Crosby of
Hermon took second, and last weeks feature winner Jim Carr, Jr. of
Clifton finished his evening in the third spot.
