Racing Against Cancer Team Rewarded with ShopWurld.com Title Sponsorship

Racing Against Cancer Team Rewarded with ShopWurld.com Title Sponsorship

Westbrook, CT (March 20, 2009): The Racing Against Cancer Program TM
is poised to embark on a new era of fundraising. The popular federally
recognized non-profit organization has been dedicated to the fight
against cancer for over 12 years. After their announcement this week,
the organization stands to increase its reach and scope exponentially.

ShopWurld of Saratoga Springs, NY, an international internet-based
business, has signed on as the title sponsor of the Racing Against
Cancer Program for the 2009 season.

ShopWurld is an internet mall that includes retailers from a host of
categories including apparel, health & beauty, electronics, office
supplies, etc. Over 1,000 well-known retailers are represented
including NASCAR.com Superstores, Home Depot, Toys 'R Us, Dick's
Sporting Goods, Staples, JC Penny, Macy's, Pet Smart and many more.

The start up company has experienced tremendous growth over a
relatively short time with an innovative business model that serves as
a winning alternative in today's technological age and tenuous
economic climate. Currently, ShopWurld has over 10,000 members.

"We are truly excited to be affiliated with ShopWurld.com," said
Director of Operations for Racing Against Cancer, Scott Gregory of
Westbrook, CT. " The program, its beneficiaries, and its benefactors
are especially fortunate to be getting in on the ground floor. The
opportunity that this association brings can be monumental in terms of
exposure and fundraising."

By employing a multi-tiered marketing program, ShopWurld helps
individual consumers generate income while charities like the Racing
Against Cancer Program reap the benefit. When a partner of the
ShopWurld Network shops through the website shopwurld.com, ShopWurld
receives a percentage of the purchase amounts in the form of Store
Payouts. In turn, members earn a commission on all purchases made
through the ShopWurld network while an additional percentage can go to
registered non-profit organizations like the Racing Against Cancer
Program; giving them a share of the over $200 billion online shopping
industry.

The amount ShopWurld receives as a Store Payout depends on the
particular store ranging from 1% to 30%. A portion of the stores pay a
flat fee for a purchase of a service or an enrollment in a program.
When entering the ShopWurld mall, shoppers are redirected to the
store's website. Purchases are completed directly with the store
including payment, shipping, etc. Neither partners nor members are
required to make any investment.

The ShopWurld Network grows as people tell their friends about this
unique opportunity. It's sustained and immediate growth poses an
incredible opportunity for the Racing Against Cancer Program and their
supporters to earn money for causes like the American Cancer Society,
David's House, the Tomorrow Fund, the C.H.A.I.N. Fund and other cancer
related charities.

"ShopWurld is thrilled to be a part of the Racing Against Cancer
Program," said Paul Bardwell, Co-Founder of ShopWurld.com. "In these
trying economic times, if a charity can offer a supporter a way to
give more without affecting their personal budget, everybody wins. Our
sincere hope is that RAC will be able to exceed all their fundraising
goals with the help of our program."

Effective immediately, the Racing Against Cancer team has become a
Gold Network Partner. Supporters of the program are encouraged to join
RAC's Personal Network (using the RAC ShopWurld ID). Members of the
organization will also build their own Personal Networks of other
members and friends.

The success of the program will rest primarily in the hands of its supporters.

"Racers and race fans can help raise money for the Racing Against
Program simply by buying the products they use every day," continued
Grego ry. "ShopWurld is offering the R.A.C. Team and its members the
opportunity to raise enough funds to help R.A.C. set new fundraising
record each and every year in the future."

For complete details on how the ShopWurld Network functions, visit
shopwurld.com.

The partnership with ShopWurld comes on the heels of the announcement
that long-time supporter of the Racing Against Cancer program, the
Foxwoods Resort Casino, citing the hardships of the struggling
economy, would no longer serve as the charities primary sponsor.

A trio of Racing Against Cancer Team members will race under the
ShopWurld banner during the 2009 season including Scott Gregory in the
Truck division at the Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT; Tom Fox in
the Late Model division at Thompson International Speedway in
Thompson, CT; and Kaitlyn Donovan in the SYRA division at Seekonk
Speedway in Seekonk, MA.

COOLLimousine.com has also joined the family of sponsors for the
Racing Against Cancer Program for 2009.

In the coming weeks, the Racing Against Cancer Program will debut a
new website, ShopWurldRacing.com, dedicated to the fundraising and
racing efforts of the team.

Dillon, SC (March 22) Turner Maine's Ben Rowe and his team made the
long tow to Dillon Motor Speedway worth their while Saturday afternoon
as Rowe set fast time and won the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South
Carolina Clash for super late models . Rowe started fifth after the
top ten time trialers re- drew for starting positions, and the four
time PASS North champion quickly powered his way to the front. Rowe
took the lead from 2008 PASS South champ Alex Haase on lap twenty-two
and despite the best efforts of Justin Wakefield on every double file
restart, Rowe cruised to a convincing victory. Wakefield had to
settle for second and young Ryan Blaney came from the back of the
field to finish third. Jeff Fultz and Spencer Wauters rounded out the
top five.

The South Carolina Clash marked the inaugural appearance of the PASS
Late Model Trucks, and Hal Goodson goes in the record book as the
first race winner in the new touring series. Grant Davidson chased
Goodson to the checkers with Joe Heigl third.

PASS South takes a break until Saturday April 11th when the series
makes the first of three 2009 visits to Hickory Motor Speedway for the
fourth annual Easter Bunny 150. The Easter Bunny is now round one of
the 2009 PASS National Championship series, so a big field of
competitors from the maritime provinces of Canada, the northeast and
the south are expected. A Leavitt Racing Components super late model
chassis and a complete Quarter Master bell housing/clutch package
await the winner of the four race series.

West series finale at Peek N' Peak next stop for Rock Maple Racing snocross series

West series finale at Peek N' Peak next stop for Rock Maple Racing
snocross series

DERRY, NH (Mar. 20, 2009) - While most residents of the
northeast have had enough of winter and its associated chores, there
is a hearty group of power sports enthusiasts still ready for more fun
on the snow.
Members of that group will get one last chance to rev their
engines on March 28-29, as Rock Maple Racing (RMR) gets set for its
West series snocross finale at the beautiful Peek N' Peak Resort & Spa
in Findley Lake, New York. This race will complete the season for
Women and Semi-Pro racers, while Sport and Junior riders will conclude
their season in Windham, NY, the following weekend.
Spectator gates open at 8 a.m. each day, with racing getting
under way promptly at 9 a.m. Admission is just $12 per day for adults.
Children under the age of 10 will be admitted free with a paying
adult. Pit passes valid through the entire weekend will be available
for an extra $10.
Leading the charge into Findley Lake are Semi-Pro riders
Mitchell Sickler and Kyle Becker. Sickler, of Harvey's Lake, PA,
currently holds a 23-point advantage over Aaron Shelton in Semi-Pro
Open, while Becker, of West Hurley, NY, sits atop the Semi-Pro Stock
standings with a more comfortable 42-point margin over Sickler. Joey
Stock leads Andrew Bailey by 20 points in Semi-Pro 440, with Clinton
Ballou just 15 points behind Bailey in third.
In the most recent West series race in Stamford, NY, Becker
(Arctic Cat) held off a hard-charging Sickler (Ski-doo) for top honors
in Semi-Pro Open, while Bailey (Ski-doo) claimed third. Tim Randall
(Polaris), of Corinth, NY, led Becker and Pete Edwards (Polaris)
across the stripe in Semi-Pro Stock.
In Junior division action at Stamford, Jake Scott carried the
momentum forward from Epping, NH, to claim four more finals. The young
athlete from Port Jefferson, NY, won Saturday's Jr. 14-15 Stock 500
final, then capped another stellar weekend with wins in 14-15 Stock
500, 14-15 Stock 600 Fan and 16-17 Stock 500. Scott also won three
finals last Sunday in a Central series event in Barton, Vermont.
Last year at Peek N' Peak, former West series champion Kenny
Murphy, of Constantia, NY, swept the Pro division finals. In Semi-Pro
action, Lucas Brunelle, Corin Todd and Matt Herrmann all recorded
final round wins. Brunelle, of Boucherville, Quebec, out-gunned Josh
Duffy and David Duchnik in Stock 600; Todd, of Otego, NY, powered his
Ski-doo to victory over Duchnik and Duffy in the Open class; while
Herrmann took top honors over Danny Graves and Bobby Newman in Stock
440.
Conveniently located just a short drive from several major
interstate highways, the Peek N' Peak Resort & Spa is home to winter's
perfect playground. This multi-generational gathering place is ideal
for families and groups looking to enjoy the snow on and off the
slopes. Along with a host of restaurants, a ski school, indoor pool

Rock Maple Racing suspends 2009 operation of Quad-X ATV Series

Rock Maple Racing suspends 2009 operation of Quad-X ATV Series

DERRY, NH (Mar. 18, 2009) - You don't have to look very far to
see wide-ranging effects from the current economic downturn. Everyone
from major automobile manufacturers down to the smallest companies
have modified their spending habits.
Businesses and industries that rely on discretionary income are
enduring hard times, and that includes every aspect of the motor
sports industry. Retailers of ATVs, motorcycles and snowmobiles have
seen their lowest sales numbers in many years.
Given these facts, officials from Rock Maple Racing (RMR) have
decided to suspend operations of its Quad-X ATV Series for 2009.
"This was a difficult decision to make," said Rock Maple Racing
president Tara Saxton. "But with the economic situation right now, we
felt it would be tough going in 2009. A lot of folks simply won't have
the funds required to travel and race this year, and we understand.
"When we first tested the waters in ATV racing back in the fall
of 2006, response was positive. We had two great seasons of
competition in 2007 and 2008, but late last summer we could see
participation starting to fall off. As much as we enjoyed ATV racing,
the time has come to step back and allow our struggling economy to
recover."
Rock Maple Racing's Quad-X series would not have been
possible without support from a host of great companies. In addition
to Can-Am ATVs by BRP, RMR would also like to thank Dodge, Bickford's
Sport Center; Dasilva Motorsports; Ingles Performance; CDB
Motorsports; Scott USA; PowerMadd; New England Racing Fuel; Quad
Graphics and Rick's Motorsports Electrics. Your support of organized
ATV racing was greatly appreciated.
From late 2006 until the 2008 season was completed, RMR's
Quad-X series competed at a variety of respected motocross tracks
across the northeast, including Hemond's MX Park in Minot, Maine;
Twister Valley in Fort Plain, NY; Thornwood MX in Williamstown, NY;
River's Edge ATV Park in Canaan, NH; Thunder Ridge in South Edmeston,
NY; and Crow Hill Motor Sports Park in Templeton, Massachusetts. RMR
would also like to thank New England Dragway in Epping, NH, for
hosting the Quad-X series in 2008. Blessed with great tracks as host
sites, Rock Maple had an advantage when setting up its ATV circuit.
Riders from across the northeast participated in the Quad-X
series during its three-year existence. Class champions from 2007
(first full season with points awarded) include James Handy (Pro
Unlimited); Freddy Kiefer (Pro Am Unlimited); Brian Daigle (A
Unlimited); Steffan Dager (B Unlimited); and Brad Burbine (C
Unlimited).
In 2008, RMR spilt the Quad-X series into two divisions (East
and West) to reduce travel expense for teams chasing points. Some
class champions from the 2008 season include Luke Marois (Pro
Unlimited East); Andrew Ruel (C Unlimited East & West); Justin
Chamberland (Open Amateur East); Dale Robinson (Open Amateur West);
David Livingston (16-24 Unlimited East); and Bruce Gaspardi (16-24
Unlimited West).
Rock Maple Racing is now completing its 17th consecutive season
of regional snocross competition. All that remains is the West series
finale March 28-29 at the Peek N' Peak ski area in Findley Lake, NY,
and the Central series finale on April 4-5 at Windham Mountain in
Windham, New York. For more information, please visit
www.rockmaple.com.

Late Model Triple Crown Series Lands Sponsor

Late Model Triple Crown Series Lands Sponsor

Wiscasset, ME- Track owners Doug and Becky White from Wiscasset
Raceway, George Fernald from Unity Raceway and Del Merrit and Alice
Baker from Speedway 95 have announced the title sponsor for the new
late model triple crown series. Linnehans Credit Now will be the
supporter for this new series which will have three races in 2009. The
first being at Wiscasset Raceway on May 30th and from there going to
Speedway 95 on September 12th and finishing up at Unity October 10th
and 11th on Long John weekend. Although the number of laps and the
purse has yet to be decided for the tour, many things have been set in
stone. The rules, which are the same for this division at all three
tracks will be the ones enforced and all three tech inspectors (Bret
Mank, Ed Drake and Alan Jewett) will be at each event keeping the
competition on there toes. To help get the cars from each track to go
to the other two tracks a blanket point system will be in use. What
this means is that each driver who races will not only be given the
points they accumulate on the tour but each driver will also be given
fifty points to go towards their home track points standings. For more
information you can contact any of the speedways listed and check out
Linnehans Credit Now, online at www.creditnow.com or by calling

PASS South Super Late Models and Trucks Ready To Kick Off 2009 At Dillon

PASS South Super Late Models and Trucks Ready To Kick Off 2009 At Dillon

CHARLOTTE, NC (March 10) – The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super
Late Models begin their biggest season yet with the 4th Annual South
Carolina Clash this weekend at the Dillon Motor Speedway in Dillon,
SC. In addition to the 150 lap main event for the PASS South cars the
nation's newest touring series, the PASS Late Model Trucks, will also
race for 75 laps on Saturday afternoon.

The South Carolina Clash joins other premier events such as the Easter
Bunny 150 and the Mason Dixon Meltdown as one of the most storied
races in PASS South history. The first South Carolina Clash was held
in 2006 at the Florence Motor Speedway. This race was the first PASS
South event for local hero Hal Goodson and would see an epic battle
between veterans Freddie Query and Mike Rowe and up and coming
superstar Charlie Bradberry. The three drivers traded the lead back
and forth while, at the same time, trading a little paint. The race
saw an extreme amount of attrition with only five cars running at the
checkered flag. Due to the number of caution laps that were run, fuel
became a concern and Bradberry would relinquish the lead late to pit
for fuel under caution. The move paid off after Rowe's car burped
while running low on fuel allowing Bradberry to move around and hold
off Query for the win. Sadly, this would be Bradberry's final Super
Late Model win as he would lose his life in a traffic accident just a
few months later.

The second South Carolina Clash would see the PASS South Super Late
Models move to the upstate of South Carolina and the Anderson Motor
Speedway in 2007. After being rained out on Saturday night, the Clash
would be contested under the hot South Carolina sun of a Sunday
afternoon in June. This, coupled with an abrasive track surface, made
for an extremely slippery track for the high horse powered cars of
PASS South. This played right into the hands of Ryan Lawler. Lawler
was coming off a win in the season opening Easter Bunny 150 and was
competing with a crate engine under the hood of his Ford. The crate
engine was down about 200 horsepower from its built counterparts and
was perfect for the conditions facing Lawler and his competitors.
Lawler held off former track champion Gary Greenwood and Alabama
standout Johnny Brazier for his second straight win. The phenom from
Texas would go on to win the 2007 PASS South championship. Perhaps
what is best remembered about the 2007 South Carolina Clash is the
battle between Jason Hogan and Ben Rowe. Both drivers had achieved
short track stardom, Hogan in the South and Rowe in New England, and
thanks to PASS they had a chance to compete against one another.
Hogan and Rowe waged a great late race battle for fourth that came
right down to bending some sheet metal at the checkered flag.
Although Hogan took the position, his car was a mangled mess against
the front stretch wall which led to a heated discussion at the finish
line. The two veterans still disagree today as to who was at fault
for the late race fireworks.

Last year's South Carolina Clash returned to the Pee Dee Region for a
first time visit to the Dillon Motor Speedway. In just its second
year of operation after being resurrected by former driver Ron
Barfield, Dillon had established itself as one of the South's premier
short tracks. It had also gained a reputation for being tough, with
progressive banking and turns three and four being quite a bit more
narrow than turns one and two. For the second year in-a-row, racing
was rained out on Saturday and would be held on a hot August
afternoon that saw track temperatures soar to well over 100 degrees.
Short track veteran Jay Fogleman was making his debut with the PASS
South Series and made his presence felt by taking the lead after
points contender Alex Haase had a tire problem on a restart.
Fogleman's lead was short lived, though, as fast qualifier Justin
Wakefield sped to the point and won handily over Alex Fleming, also
scoring his best career finish. Wakefield's win was his first in PASS
South competition.

This year's South Carolina Clash is unique for three reasons. First,
it is the first South Carolina Clash to be contested in the spring
instead of the summer. It is also the first time the race will be
returning to a speedway that has hosted the event before. And,
finally, this will mark the first time the PASS South season opener
has been held anywhere other than the Hickory Motor Speedway.

Drivers from Florida to Maine have filed entries for the 2009 South

NASCAR’s Wallace family enters TD Banknorth 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway

NASCAR's Wallace family enters TD Banknorth 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway

Kenny, Steve to compete in 36th annual race; Rusty is grand marshal

OXFORD, Maine - Three members of racing's legendary Wallace family
have announced their commitment to the 36th annual TD Banknorth 250
Presented by New England Dodge Dealers on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at
Oxford Plains Speedway.
Kenny Wallace and Steve Wallace have filed entries for the historic
late model race, while NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Rusty Wallace will
be grand marshal of the region's richest single-day short track race.
Qualifying begins at 2 p.m. on race day, with the main event scheduled
for shortly after 6 p.m.
Eighty-eight drivers attempted to earn a starting position in last
year's TD Banknorth 250, with Kevin Harvick capturing the checkered
flag.
"We're excited about this announcement that not just one or two but
three NASCAR personalities will be part of the TD Banknorth 250 this
year," said OPS owner Bill Ryan. "We've been fortunate to have the
biggest names in the sport competing in this race since 2004 --
Kenseth, Busch, Labonte and Harvick, to name a few. The Wallace name
has been synonymous with our sport for more than 20 years, so they are
a perfect addition to that list."
This won't be the family's first encounter with Oxford. Rusty Wallace
competed in what was then the NASCAR Busch North Series on a Saturday
night in August 1987. Two years later, coinciding with his Cup
championship season, Wallace qualified 25th and finished 10th in the
TD Banknorth 250.
Kenny Wallace competed in three consecutive 250s when it was a NASCAR
Nationwide Series race in the early 1990s, posting finishes of 20th,
eighth and 34th.
Rusty's son and Kenny's nephew Steve has never competed in the TD
Banknorth 250, but he already owns a victory in another storied short
track race, the Snowball Derby in Pensacola, Fla.
"I can't tell you how excited our family is to be part of the TD
Banknorth 250 and get back to Oxford Plains Speedway again," said
Rusty Wallace, now owner of a NASCAR Nationwide Series team and lead
auto racing analyst for ABC and ESPN. "It's been 20 years, but I
remember like it was yesterday having to sweat out those qualifying
races and compete with a hundred other guys just to make the feature.
It's just an old-school event. There really aren't many races like it
anywhere in the country anymore."
Rusty Wallace won 55 races and 36 poles in his Sprint Cup career. He
won the 1989 NASCAR all-star race in memorable fashion, was the 1991
IROC champion and was named one of NASCAR's 50 greatest drivers in
1998. He also earned the victory in the inaugural Sprint Cup race at
New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 1993.
Kenny Wallace, 45,=2 0is a veteran of more than 750 starts in NASCAR's
top two series. He owns nine wins, 10 pole positions and 157 top-10
results in the Nationwide Series, where he currently drives the #28
United States Border Patrol car. Wallace finished second in the
Nationwide point standings in 1991.
He has won the pole three times and posted 27 top-20 finishes in his
Sprint Cup career, mostly notably finishing second at Talladega
Superspeedway in October 2000. Kenny's drafting help late in the race
assisted what was Dale Earnhardt's final win.
"We thought we had a chance to win at least two of our races at
Oxford, which is a testament to how tough the TD Banknorth 250 is,"
Kenny Wallace said. "You're going up against the best drivers in this
part of the country on their home turf. That's what is so amazing
about what Kevin Harvick was able to do last year."
While still active as a driver, Kenny Wallace also is one of the
sport's most popular television personalities. He is co-host of
"NASCAR RaceDay" and "NASCAR Victory Lane" on SPEED.
Steve Wallace is only 21, but his racing resume already includes
multiple poles and top-five finishes in the NASCAR Nationwide Series,
numerous victories in ARCA competition, a win in the first-ever Late
Model stock car race at Bristol Motor Speedway and a national
championship as a youth in the INEX Bandolero Car series.
Perhaps his greatest achievement to date took place in 2004,20when at
17 he became the youngest winner in the 37-year history of the
Snowball Derby.
"I hear this race is very similar (to the Snowball Derby) in a lot of
ways," Steve Wallace said. "But they also tell me it's a tough track
to get a hold of. I love new challenges and the TD Banknorth 250 is
going to be one for sure."
Team and sponsor affiliations for Kenny and Steve Wallace will be
announced at a later date.
The TD Banknorth 250 is the headline event of a three-day weekend
presented by New England Dodge Dealers that also will include full
cards of racing competition on Friday and Saturday.
Past winners of the summer classic include Mike Rowe, Dave Dion, Ralph
Nason, Geoff Bodine, Ben Rowe, Butch Lindley, Bob Pressley, Joey
Kourafas, Jamie Aube, Dick McCabe, Chuck Bown, Ricky Craven and Junior
Hanley.

PASS South Opener Postponed; Rescheduled to March 21st

CHARLOTTE, NC (March 11) – The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super
Late Models and PASS Late Model Trucks will have to wait one week to
begin the 2009 racing season due to inclement weather. This weekend's
forecast for Dillon, SC and much of the Southeast is calling for
cooler temperatures and rain. PASS President Tom Mayberry and Dillon
Motor Speedway owner Ron Barfield have agreed in a joint decision to
postpone this weekend's scheduled South Carolina Clash and PASS South
Awards Dinner. Both events will be pushed back one week and will be
held on March 20-21.

"We feel it is in the best interests of our race teams and fans to
have the South Carolina Clash next week," said Mayberry. "A lot of
folks are looking forward to this race, including some who are
traveling quite a distance to be in Dillon, and Ron and I think we owe
it to everybody to hold off the activities for a week when the weather
is expected to be much, much better."

Next week's festivities surrounding the South Carolina Clash at Dillon
Motor Speedway kick off on Friday, March 20th with gates opening at 1
PM and practice for both the PASS South Super Late Models and PASS

Hutch-BSR recognizes PASS Hard Chargers

Hutch-BSR recognizes PASS Hard Chargers

NAPLES ME (March 12) The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) is pleased to
welcome back one of the nation's foremost racing parts suppliers for
another season as a PASS awards sponsor.

BSR Products has acquired another motorsports legend, Hutcherson-Pagan
Enterprises, and the new racing enterprise is now known as Hutch-BSR.
The acquisition of Hutcherson-Pagan has broadened the scope of
services the company has to offer, from Port City chassis and chassis
repairs to a recently acquired "pull-down" rig that short track racers
can reserve time on.

The Hutch-BSR /PASS Hard Charger award will be presented to the driver
who most improves their starting position in each 2009 PASS Super Late
Model North and South event. The award winner will receive a $100.00
product certificate redeemable at the short track superstore. Plus,
2009 North and South points eligible super late model teams will have
a $250.00 Hutch-BSR product certificate in their random draw.

In 2009 Hutch-BSR has added a short track trailer to their fleet of
rolling parts stores, and the company plans to be on hand at every
PASS South points race this season. The dedicated short track trailer
will be loaded with all of the parts and pieces that PASS super late
model and late model truck racers need, and will be staffed by a short
track racing specialist.

"I want to thank Hutch-BSR for renewing their program with the Pro All
Stars," said PASS President Tom Mayberry." Nobody likes to start at
the back, but it's a part of racing; sometimes it's tougher to crack
the top ten from the 28th spot than it is to win the race. The quality
of competition in both the PASS North and South Super Late Model
divisions is that tough. We appreciate the fact that Hutch- BSR
recognizes this and will reward our competitors for their efforts."

Hutch-BSR stocks a comprehensive inventory of racing components and
supplies for almost every form of motorsports. The company pioneered
trackside service in the 1980's and today Hutch- BSR crisscrosses
the country every racing season to provide the best in products and

Fogleman Looks For New Beginning With PASS In 2009

Fogleman Looks For New Beginning With PASS In 2009

CHARLOTTE, NC (March 4) – Jay Fogleman has seen a lot of things come
and go in a racing career that has spanned the last 25 years. The
Durham, NC, native has been racing for most of his 42 years. The 2009
season will see him embark on a vastly different journey through the
racing world. Fogleman plans to race the entire 2009 season with the
Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model division. The
sleek, fast, PASS South Super Late Models are unique when compared to
anything Fogleman has raced before, but they do compliment a common
theme in Fogleman's racing resume'. He has always enjoyed racing cars
and in divisions that were on the cusp of breaking new ground.

When Fogleman first began racing in 1982, he started out driving cars
in an unknown division called Late Model Stock cars. For years, the
top division at paved race tracks throughout the Mid-Atlantic was the
NASCAR Late Model Sportsman cars. This division was just a step below
NASCAR's Grand National division, known now as the Sprint Cup Series,
and was dominated by legendary short track drivers like Red Farmer,
Jack Ingram, Tommy Houston, and Sam Ard. NASCAR, along with a few car
owners, looked to create a division that would race weekly at local
short tracks and would help racers save money. Initially, only a few
tracks including South Boston Speedway and Orange County Speedway,
embraced the new division. Fogleman and others jumped on board and,
as the years went by, Late Model Stock cars pushed the Late Model
Sportsman cars out as the premier division in the South. Fogleman
quickly established himself as one of the top Late Model Stock drivers
in the country winning races at speedways throughout the Carolinas and
Virginia. While Late Model Stock cars thrived, the Sportsman cars
perished and drivers like Fogleman never had the chance to compete in
them.

"We just really never had the opportunity besides Concord and a few
racetracks to run the Late Model Sportsman and eventually the Super
Late Model-type cars," said Fogleman. "I just had never been around
them and a lot of people in this area have never had the opportunity
to drove those cars and be around them and I think that's why they had
a lot of trouble in the Carolinas throughout the 1990's."

Following Fogleman's success in the Late Model Stock division, he felt
it was time for a new challenge; the chance to show his talent to a
broader, more national audience. Like many racers, the finances and
opportunities never presented themselves to move up into one of
NASCAR's premier national touring divisions. But, that all changed in
the late 1990's when the Hooter's Restaurant chain looked to start an
entirely new racing division, catering solely to short track racers.
The USAR Hooter's Pro Cup Series provided a more affordable short
track series, paying healthy purses to attract racers like Fogleman,
who was looking to do something new.

"That was the thing I really liked about Pro Cup when it first started
was that Bobby Gill, myself, and [Jeff] Agnew and Johnny Rumley and a
lot of those guys would race and then we would have [Joey] Logano and
all of these young kids coming through," said Fogleman. "It was a
good mix and it made it really exciting for the fans. People like to
see the young guys and the guys, like myself, who have been around for
a while going at it."

The USAR Hooter's Pro Cup Series ushered in a tremendous period of
growth for short track racing and saw Fogleman and others like him
reach a new group of fans. However, like so many things, Hooter's
decided to drop its sponsorship of the series at the end of the 2008
season due to the economic downturn. After numerous wins with the
series, including one last year at Southern National Raceway Park that
propelled him to a third place finish in the final point standings,
Jay Fogleman was again looking for something to do.

Fogleman had followed the PASS Series and realized that this might
be an opportunity to again get in on the ground floor of a growing
series. Late in 2008, PASS approved Pro Cup engines for use in the
series and that was the sign that told Fogleman what he needed to do.

"We have four engines built for our Pro Cup cars and we can take the
same engines in both cars and make it work out to where we don't have
to build engines for each type of car," said Fogleman. "We can keep
them in rotation and basically build half the engines of what we would
have had to if we had to build engines for each division."

Knowing of the problems facing the Pro Cup Series, Fogleman dabbled
with PASS in 2008. He led laps and finished fourth at Dillon Motor
Speedway and then went on to score his first PASS South win in an
attrition filled race at the Newport Speedway.

"The cars are fun to drive and I've raced a little bit of everything,"
said Fogleman of his initial impressions of PASS. "This was really my
first time in a Super Late Model…it's just good racing and it's doing
pretty well now in the area we live at."

Racing with PASS in 2009 will also give Fogleman a chance to return to
many of the tracks he cut his teeth on when he first started racing
Late Model Stocks in the early 1980's.

"A lot of these people going to these races have seen me drive a stock
car from the time I was 15 until now, so it'll be nice for them to be
able to come see you run and not have to go to Florida or New York or
someplace like that," said Fogleman. "We usually have a big fan base
at Orange County and South Boston, all of them are an hour or so from
my house…we're just really looking forward to that."

Jay Fogleman and his racing career have definitely come full
circle, from seeing the demise of Super Late Model racing to its
resurgence with PASS. And, it's a comeback Fogleman does not see
ending any time soon.

"I think the competition level will be as good or better than it's
ever been," said Fogleman. "I know the economy's off a little bit,
but it's bringing a lot of people to PASS. The last couple of years,
it's just gotten bigger and bigger."

The PASS South Super Late Models kick off the 2009 season with their
second trip to the Dillon Motor Speedway on Saturday, March 14th with
the 4th Annual South Carolina Clash. Last year's race was contested
in August and was won by Woodstock, GA's Justin Wakefield. Action
kicks off on Friday, March 13th with gates opening at 1 PM and
practice from 2 PM to 6PM. On Saturday, practice will be from 11 AM
to 1:30 PM, qualifying will be at 2:30 PM, and racing will start at 3
PM. In addition to the PASS South Super Late Models, the South
Carolina Clash will see the debut of the PASS Late Model Trucks. Late
Model Truck regulars from Dillon and throughout the Carolinas will
race for 75 laps in the Nation's newest touring division. Dillon
Motor Speedway is located on SC Highway 9 just off Interstate 95 exit
193. For more information go to dillonmotorspeedway.com or
