CHARLOTTE, NC (March 16) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom
Mayberry announced today that the 2009 season will conclude for the
PASS South Super Late Models and PASS Late Model Trucks with a major,
non-points event at the Southern National Raceway Park in Kenly, NC.
The Thanksgiving Classic will be a two day event on Friday, November
27th through Saturday, November 28th and will feature several other
divisions to be announced at a later date, in addition to the PASS
divisions that will be racing.
"The Thanksgiving Classic has always been an event fans have looked
forward to at the end of the racing season and we are glad that PASS
can be involved in such a great race to close out the season," said
Mayberry. "The Super Late Models and Trucks will be a great addition
to the Thanksgiving Classic and we will have an announcement in the
coming weeks about the other divisions that will be there with PASS as
well. I'm glad PASS can help continue the tradition of the
Thanksgiving Classic for the fans and racers and I'm sure everybody
will be excited with what we have planned."
PASS South Super Late Model and PASS Late Model Truck action kicks off
in 2009 with the running of the 4th Annual South Carolina Clash at the
Dillon Motor Speedway on March 20th and 21st. Practice will be on
Friday, March 20th from 3 to 6 PM with the PASS South Awards Banquet
to follow that evening at the Kintyre House in Dillon, SC. On
Saturday, March 21st, the PASS South Super Late Models and PASS Late
Model Trucks will practice and qualify, with racing starting at 3 PM
for the 4th Annual South Carolina Clash. The PASS North Super Late
Models, PASS Modifieds, and PASS Sportsman begin the racing season on
Sunday, April 19th at Speedway 95 in Hermon, ME.
