NOTES: Lee USA Speedway returns to the American-Canadian Tour
schedule in 2008, and will open the Late Model
Championship racing season for the first time since 2005. This race
also marks the return of ACT to the historic
NH Governor's Cup event, which it had previously been a part of in
the 1980s. The True Value Modified Racing
Series will hold a 100-lap event today, marking the first of two
ACT/TVMRS doubleheaders this year; the other such
event will be at Vermont's Thunder Road at the Mekkelsen RV Memorial
Day Classic, Sun., May 25. Milton, VT driver
Jean-Paul Cyr is the defending ACT Late Model Tour Champion, a title
he has held since 2003, and is a past winner
at Lee USA Speedway. Lee USA Track Champion J.R. Baril is also
expected to compete.
